Chalcopyrite and its associated minerals were taken from the Dongchuan copper mine in Yunnan, China. The impurities and gangue minerals were manually removed to prepare single mineral of high-purity chalcopyrite. The prepared sample was soaked in 1% sulfuric acid solution for 12 h, and then naturally dried after repeated rinsing with deionized water.
