Because of this I havect focused on taking rather shallow but wide cuts, with the width of the cutter being at least twice the feed. But I do mostly surfacing work with my shaper. BTW, that Cincy taking that huge cut is a hydraulic machine, possibly 15hp or more. I don't think you are going to take a cut like that with a crank shaper.
